Everyone will experience different responses to trauma. Your particular response might be unusual, just remember that it is your response and so it is ‘normal’ for you.
You may experience any combination of these symptoms in response to any trauma, large or small. The symptoms will usually subside within a few weeks or months as you have the opportunity to process and integrate the trauma.
If the symptoms don’t subside, it is a good idea to seek help. See your doctor, counsellor or therapist.
In Australia, The Black Dog Institute runs a clinic, and Phoenix Australia has a wealth of up-to-date information and resources about trauma and PTSD.

Jennifer:
I am writing an article on mental, emotional, and social health (MESH). I would like to use your symptoms table of physical and emotional trauma in the article with appropriate referencing and I am seeking your approval to do so. Thank you
Hi Tracey, with pleasure. Please send me the link once the article is published. Warm regards, Jennifer
