If you’re worried about someone and want to start a conversation, here is a simple pocket guide for how to have that conversation.
What NOT to Do
- ❌ Do not try to talk them out of suicide
- ❌ Do not try to fix their problem — focus on listening with openness
- ❌ Do not dismiss it as attention seeking — take their pain seriously
If you are considering suicide, or you know someone who is, please reach out for help.
