We all carry wounds from our childhood. It might be that you were teased for being chubby, you were pushed to succeed academically, or there wasn’t enough to eat. When these wounds are left unresolved, we might find ourselves as adults always feeling chubby no matter how much weight we lose or never feeling smart enough, no matter how well we do academically.
As adults, it is our job to care for our inner child. By reparenting our inner child, helping them feel smart enough, loving their body, etc., we heal our childhood wounds. As the triggers dissolve, so do the reactiveness and the tantrums.
