Welcome to Week 1 of your journey with The Spiritual Tarot.
In session 1 we connect with the Angel of the Tarot, a powerful angel and spiritual guardians.
Hopefully you have already purchased your Rider Waite Tarot Deck. These cards are going to become a companion to your soul, so they need to be treated with the utmost respect. Over the next 18 weeks keep the cards close to you and connect with them daily by selecting a card for each day. Over the 18 weeks this practice will give you an introduction to most of the cards and build your connection with them to allow for more insights. The tarot speaks directly to your unconscious as symbols are the language of the unconscious. As you select each card, notice your intuitive response to them. This is the “muscle” we are working on in this course.
How to care for your cards:
Keep them wrapped in silk to hold the energy and keep them in a safe place.
Tarot Reading Guidelines
When reading for other people any reading needs to be completely confidential.
It is not okay to give a reading for someone’s children if they are over 18 without their permission.
Do not read for someone without their permission.
Structure of the Tarot Deck
Major Arcana – 22 cards (21 cards plus the fool)
Represents the journey through life. The Fool starts out with innocence and inexperience (as we are when we incarnate) and we end at The World, the end of the journey, accomplishment, success.
Minor Arcana – 56 cards
These are separated into suits that correspond to the magical elements of the ancient alchemists:
Wands – Fire
Swords – Air
Cups – Water
Pentacles – Earth
