It is time to end the stigma of mental health and get support when you need it. You deserve to be supported wherever you are at. As humans, we are social creatures. We were never meant to have it all figured out.
Many of us therapists have seen and heard a lot. There can be a fear of being judged, that my problem is not big enough to see a therapist, or that my problem is too shameful to share. Shame dissolves in the face of compassion. All therapists have a history that has brought them into therapy. Therapists, in general, are lived-in people. They have been through a lot and have learned self-compassion and, thus, deep compassion for others and the human condition.
If you think you might need to see someone, don’t hold back. Take the leap of faith and support yourself!
