Managing a Parent’s Moods

Children should be free to be just that—children.

They shouldn’t carry the weight of their parent’s emotions, learning to set aside their own feelings to maintain peace. This cycle teaches them to constantly read the room, striving to be the ‘good kid’ to avoid conflict.

Fast forward, and we have adults who prioritise everyone else’s happiness over their own. It’s a tough cycle to break, but awareness is the first step.

If you’re a parent finding this relatable, it’s okay to seek support. Therapy, talking to friends, or finding community resources can make a world of difference. Let’s give our kids the gift of childhood, unburdened and free.
