Dr. Peter A Levine

This is a question that I am often asked by friends and sometimes clients who are worried about burdening me with their pain.

I’m not sure if it is because of my many years of spiritual practice or because of my own experiences with pain that I don’t experience the deep sharing and holding as a burden. Instead, I experience it as a sacred space I enter with a fellow human in pain.

So much healing can happen when pain is held in safe places. It is an honour to hold that pain and facilitate reparative experiences.

Working with trauma has given my life meaning and purpose, and I am grateful for all those who share their journey with me.
