The part of this quote that hits me is the last line, ‘not alone’. Living in a culture that revers the individual over the collective, it is easy to get swallowed up thinking that we are not supposed to need other people. That needing others is weak.
We are lonelier as a culture than ever before. We have more depression and anxiety than ever before. We are meant to be connected to other humans. For eons, we have found safety in groups.
As you reflect on your life, where do you need support, connection, or guidance? Where have you been pushing forward alone? How can you change that, even if just a little?
What has been your experience with doing it all?
