42 km. 4 days. 3 nights. The Gidjuum Gulganyi walk in Australia, carrying everything we needed on our backs. What an adventure!
To be honest, I thought I might struggle. And it wasn’t easy. But once you’re out there, there’s no turning back. Just you and the track. Trees, streams, birds, leeches, wildflowers, sunrise and sunset — it had it all.
We were blessed with perfect weather, though the nights were a little chilly. Still, it was Australia at her finest.
I feel so grateful to live in such a beautiful country. And now… I’ve well and truly caught the hiking bug. I’m already wondering: where to next?
If you’ve got any recommendations, drop them in the comments.
