Truly great friendships are worth their weight in gold and stand the test of time.
When I think of my ‘great friendships’, I think of my family of choice. I think about the natural connectedness of the ‘villages’ we lived in not so long ago. I think of the importance of having a few people in your life to support you, rather than just one, often your partner. And of having the opportunity to support a few friends.
In this way, we create healthy networks of support. So if one friend doesn’t have the capacity, another likely will.
The road to having a strong network of friendships? Being a great friend first.
