Feeling Loved and Important

Feeling loved and Important to your partner is an attachment need. 


Here are some ways to make your partner feel loved and important:

  • Think about something they love and do it for them (perhaps it’s a back tickle, making them a cup of tea in the morning or calling them during their lunch break).
  • Start a habit of considering them when making plans. It will make them feel important to you.
  • Do something where you are clearly putting your needs second place to theirs. (In a healthy relationship, there will be a flow of give and take, but as a one-off to make your partner feel loved and important, this is a great practice).
  • Ask your partner what would make them feel loved and important. For everyone, it is something different. Ask and try your best to do what they ask.
