Don’t Offer Advice to Someone Who Needs A Hug

When we offer advice, we are staying in our left brain. That’s the rational, logical part of our extraordinary brain. We need this part to manage time, get practical things done, complete tasks, and so much more.

When we offer a hug, we connect with someone’s right brain. The part of their brain that is imaginative, creative, intuitive, and artistic.

When we offer a hug, we offer support, love, and co-regulation.

So much is transmitted in the loving silence of a hug.

It says, “I am here for you, I have your back, you can rely on me, we are in this together”.

Feel free to share if you want to receive AND give more hugs.

Love, Jen
