You Are Important

As a trauma therapist, I’ve heard numerous stories about the messages people received in childhood that made them feel unimportant. Whether it was a sibling who demanded all of your parents’ time and energy, leaving little for you, or parents who were preoccupied with work to the point where it seemed more important than you. Perhaps it was a parent grappling with a divorce or mental health issues, unable to demonstrate your importance to them. Regardless of the specific circumstances, I want you to understand one fundamental truth: you are important. Your presence on Earth makes a difference. You are worthy of love and attention.
