Validating Your Trauma

These three things will vary depending on the individual. We all start with a different nervous system. We are all in differing social-economic environments, surrounded by varying levels of support. We are all connected to our core or our spirit to a greater or lesser extent. ⁣

So it is impossible to compare traumatic experiences. Your trauma is valid. How it impacted you is valid. Don’t let anyone else tell you differently, and please stop telling yourself to ‘get over it’. Give yourself the time you need to heal. You deserve compassion and time.
