Things That Prevent Us From Talking About Birth Trauma

In research into traumatic birthing experiences, they found that “Women attribute their traumatic childbirth experience primarily to lack and/or loss of control, issues of communication, and practical/emotional support. They believe that in many cases, their trauma could have been reduced or prevented by better communication and support by their caregiver or if they themselves had asked for or refused interventions.”

So much of the process can be traumatic. From the onset of labour to weeks after.

So – how do we heal birth trauma? If you are interested in knowing how I worked with my birth trauma, I will be sending out a newsletter later today with what worked for me.
