I have some BIG news!!! Yesterday I was accepted into the Certificate of Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies (CPAT) through Mind Medicine Australia, one of the first rounds of training in Australia. The training is to equip specialists to work with patients utilising psilocybin and MDMA therapeutically in clinical environments in Australia.
I am beyond excited! The research that is already taking place in the UK and the US is in its early stages, but what has been released is mind-blowing. The research shows that this work has the potential to make a huge change in mental health in the areas of end of life, depression, anxiety, addiction, PTSD, and obsession.
If you want to learn more, head over to the mapsnews and Mind Medicine Australia. Their websites are incredible resources to help understand these medicines and the research that has already been done.
My hope is that these treatments will be available to the general public as early as possible to alleviate some of the suffering that many of us see or feel on a daily basis.
I live in the US. I have been receiving IV Ketamine every two weeks for 2 1/2 years for unrelenting depression. I believe that psychadelics would have a longer lasting impact, but i have been unable to find a provider. Do you know of anyone prescribing or treating with psychedelics in the Midwest US?
Hello Martha, Sorry, I don’t know anyone. I think it is still illegal in most countries. My understanding is that it is legal in Jamaica and maybe Mexico? Sorry I can’t be of more help. Best Wishes, Jen
