Loneliness

I’m a natural introvert.

For me, that means that I enjoy time to myself. When I feel tired, my natural inclination is to rest and spend time alone. This allows me to focus on and nurture myself. I don’t have to be aware of what anyone else is thinking or feeling. In this space, I become rejuvenated and eventually feel ‘full’ enough to connect with others.

Also, I would rather go deeper with a few people, than stay on the surface with many. Maybe that’s why I love being a therapist. I get to go deep.

So, for me, yes – the quality of connection, not the quantity.
