It’s been a while since I introduced myself, so I thought I’d say ‘hi’. First, let me say how very grateful I am that you are here. Forming communities focused on healing and personal growth is deeply meaningful to me and one way for us all to bring about change in the world.
I’m a British Australian (I have two passports), and I live in Sydney, Australia. I grew up on housing commission in the UK and was the first person in my family to go to university and get a degree (I now have two – an undergraduate and a Master’s).
I have been in the healing space for over twenty years and have studied a broad range of healing modalities. My passion is Internal Family Systems (IFS), which I met in the form of Inner Child work 20 years ago. I run an online private practice (Psychotherapy Central) from my home in Sydney, focused on treating trauma, attachment difficulties, and struggling couples. I live my work, so I use the modalities and methods I use in my clinic on myself daily.
I have two beautiful teenage children, and I have been married for 18 years. I LOVE to travel and regularly visit Ubud, Bali and India. And here are a few other things about me:
- I’m an INFJ in the Myer-Briggs personality types (apparently the rarest – who knew??)
- I LOVE nature. I am happiest in a damp forest with vibrant green moss all over big oak trees (the Brit in me).
- For a treat, I love mint Lindt chocolate.
- I had pretty difficult births with both of my children.
- I have had to navigate a multi-faith family and home.
- My favourite time of year is Christmas because we host a big Christmas lunch, and I love the sparkles and decorating.
- I believe in everyone’s inherent healing ability.
Thank you for being here,
Love Jen
