
So often we think our yes or no comes from logic… but most of the time, it’s coming from your nervous system.
You can have a “yes” that comes from sympathetic activation — a fight-or-flight surge — or a “yes” that comes from your ventral, calm, connected state. They feel completely different in the body.
Learning to tell these apart requires listening more deeply to your internal cues. When you begin to tune in to what’s happening in your body — rather than relying solely on your thinking mind — you can start to distinguish between a reactive yes and a grounded one.
Understanding your nervous system and learning to listen from the inside out is one of the most powerful things you can do to build self-trust and set boundaries that truly serve you.
