Four Areas of Emotional Intelligence

Socrates in Plato’s Apology was credited with saying “An unexamined life is not worth living”. This is at the core of self-awareness.

Self-awareness calls us to reflect on our words and actions, to be curious about our triggers, to understand our history and its impact on who we are as adults.

Self-awareness calls us to become intimate with our emotions, rather than running from them, to pause and be with them.

Self-awareness calls us to become aware of our strengths and weaknesses. To own both our light and our shadow attributes.

As we know ourselves, a natural sense of self-worth arises.

We know deeply that we are enough.

If just for this moment – from my heart to yours. Know that you are enough.

Love, Jen
