The Couple Bubble as the Secure Home Base The secure home base is the place that as a child you run back to when you are scared, hungry, confused or uncertain. It’s usually someone you trust and who have built trust with over time, usually a parent or caregiver. Adults who have this in their couple relationships tend to thrive, they have a sense that someone is looking out for them, that after a tough day at work, their partner will be there to support them, that they come home and refuel and their partner will have their back.
