The 4 Step Apology
One - Apologise - “I’m sorry for being so passive-aggressive”. Two - Take Responsibility - “I was angry about what happened and couldn’t tell you directly.” Three - How will you Resolve This? - “Next time, I’m going to communicate with you directly, so you know what is going on.” Four - Ask for Forgiveness - “Will you forgive me?” When we put this together, it sounds like, “I’m sorry for being so passive-aggressive. I was angry about what happened and couldn’t tell you directly. Next time, I’ll communicate with you directly, so you know what is going on. Will you forgive me?”
